‘scrabble letters and spindles’

I have collected those beautiful wooden scrabble letters forever!

Often I come across an old torn box, a scribbled on game board and a message advising ‘letters missing’, and have no hesitation in removing the rest of them into glass jars or an open dish.

They are so smooth and beg you to run your fingers through them. Of course using them to create a wee message is also fun! I do have a complete set (with wooden letters of course) ready for a game or two.

As soon as I saw these spindles with their peeling paint and muted shades, they were coming home with me. The hardest part choosing amongst the several on offer!
