Summertime cushions

Do you remember sewing badges and flags of places you visited onto your backpack? Well these days I tend to travel with a suitcase so they are now finding their way onto cushions!

On two of the cushions I have used a Cath Kidston tea towel and some jaunty striped fabric that I think gives the cushions a summer time feel. Over the joins between the two fabrics I have sewed a strip of trim to match.

These cushions are a great way to use up those small remnants of fabric, of which I have several.

I have included two barkcloth cushions featured in an earlier post (August 10 2011). Some of the covers are still waiting their feather inner.
