A few more pincushions!

I recently cut out a number of squares of fabrics to match up for pincushions. I was making a pincushion for one of my sisters who has recently discovered the joys of sewing, and incidently has a birthday coming up. I ended up making three as I couldn’t decide which one to give her.

She is a bit of a vintage, retro girl so will probably like all three!

The pincushions are 5 inch squares and have a loop tag inserted at the top, which makes it easier to pick up and a flap of fabric/felt on the side for needles. Some of the squares, for example the pink flowers and tomatoes are cut out of a teatowel. I use a plain wool/felt type fabric for the top and bottom of the pincushion.
