Oh Ruby….

I really enjoyed making Ruby, well specifically her dress, using one of my favourite vintage polished cotton fabrics.

I found several metres of this vintage fabric in a shop in Auckland NZ, several years ago. Like any lovely fabric one thinks long and hard before cutting and commiting it to a life of fame or drudgery!

Ruby’s halter neck dress is pulled in at the waist with a belt made in the same fabric and a red buckle. She wears her hair with a side parting and red button hair clip. Her shoes are red to match her dress and finished off with a lovely olive coloured button.

All up I think she looks pretty swish.
