Olive… first girl off the rank!

Olive was the first doll to make an appearance in this group of five girls and is the smallest in the group. Like Ava she wears a dress made of reproduction 30’s (aunt grace?) fabric, simply sewn with elastic top and pulled in at the waist with a tie The tie is attached with a button at the back of the dress.

To achieve Olive’s wavy hair I have unwound knitted wool, which is cut in similar lengths, stiched together and attached to the centre of her head. I normally trim the hair once it is on the doll.

Hoop ear rings, a jaunty scarf, green belt, red button shoes and she’s ready to go!
