Bag Lady

Woke up and was ready for a bag day. For me, often the longest part of making something is choosing the fabric, and today was no exception. Over the years I have amassed a rather large collection of fabrics and  once I start looking at them, well I just get immersed in how wonderful they are!  The design is a simple tote bag either lined or finished with french seams.

This is a great way to give a gift such as a book, rather than investing in wrapping paper (as much as I love that too) but others do not tend to share my passion and alas that beautiful paper, crushed and defeated gets assigned to the bin. Two of the bags are made using liberty fabric and a cool cowboy design, which one of my sisters nabbed.
